• Day 01:

arrive in Sri Lanka and be met by our representative and proceed to preferred beach hotel (ranging from 3 to 5 Star categories) within the regions of Negambo (30 mnts duration of travel) or Colombo – if preferred (90 mnts. Duration of travel)

• Day 02:

travel to Sigiriya or Habarana, en-route visiting Pinnawela elephant orphanage, accommodation ranging from 3 to 5 star category hotels within the regions. Evening at leisure or optional elephant back safari.

• Day 03:

early start to follow the gift of bird life of the region, which varies and could calculate to over 35 to 40 species on a good day. Return back to hotel for breakfast. Mid-day visit to the Sigiriya rock fortress (world heritage site, argued to be recognized as the 8th wonder of the world), evening visit the Minneriya or Kaudulla national parks (depending on better sightings at the time) and experience the large gatherings of wild elephants. Dinner and over-night stay at hotel of accommodation.

• Day 04:

after breakfast, experience a nature walk of the region, enjoy bird life fauna and flora and the realities of Sri Lankan village life style. Thereafter, proceed to the 7th capital of the central hills of Kandy, en-route visiting a spice garden. Accommodation at a 3 to 5 star category hotel within region.

• Day 05: 

leave hotel with picnic breakfast packs and partake in a nature walk within the nature reserve of Udawattha kale in close proximity to the central city of Kandy.(early morning start enables good sightings of many a birds..) thereafter, proceed to the Royal botanical gardens of Peradeniya, followed by the unique visit to the sacred tooth relic temple. Take a moment of time to explore Kandy and involve in shopping, if preferred. Dinner and over-night stay at hotel of accommodation.

• Day 06:

after breakfast, take a drive to the Peradeniya railway station and board the train from Peradeniya – Kandy to the hill stations of Nanu Oya in the central hills and to be met by your vehicle of travel to be taken to the garden city of Nuwara Eliya. Evening visit to a nearby tea factory, to experience the total production of Ceylon tea. Accommodation at 3 to 5 star category hotel within region.

• Day 07:

very early start with take-away breakfast packets and travel to the regions of Horton Plains and commence a 3 to 31/2 hour nature walk and experience the fascinating and panoramic view of little world’s end and greater world’s end , baker’s falls and samba deer, the purple face leaf monkey and many a wetland birds / evening at leisure or take a stroll to the city of Nuwara Eliya, visit the only active race course in the country or chance your hand for a round of golf at the Victoria golf course. Dinner and over-night stay at hotel of accommodation.

• Day 08:

after breakfast, depart proceeding to the Yala national park – the paradise for the highest concentration of leopards in the whole of South East Asia. Experience a fascinating jeep safari in total mind set of leopard hunt (other main attraction the sloth bear, elephants, crocodiles, deer, wild boar and bird life at its best. Accommodation would range from up-market safari hotels to basic safari hotels.

• Day 09:

after breakfast, drive bordering the beautiful southern coastal belt of the country to your preferred beach hotel within a preferred region, en-route; visiting the Dutch city of Galle and a turtle hatchery (recommended beach stay would be within the southern region or Colombo).

Extended beach stay of your choice or prepare for departure.
